What is a Multi-Point Tank-to-Bowl Mounting System?
Our Multi-Point tank-to-bowl mounting system includes double nuts for each bolt. Two bolts seal the tank and connect it to the bowl.
For each bolt, the first nut is applied immediately under the tank – before it is installed on the bowl. This seals the tank and minimizes the risk of the tank cracking when it is installed on the bowl. It also makes it easier to remove a tank if needed – no need to sponge out the water, or have it drip all over the floor.
After the tank is placed on the bowl, the second nut is attached and used to secure and level the tank. All these nuts are polypropylene wing nuts designed to be hand tightened – again reducing the risk of cracking due to over-tightening.
