Gerber Glossary - Sanitary Bead
- Elevated ceramic lip that sits at the front of the tank to the bowl connection area, facing the seat
- This feature requires very precise manufacturing, as a slight variance (high or low) will not allow for the proper amount of force to be applied onto the tank to bowl gasket and make the toilet very prone to leaking and/or loss of force into the bowl, resulting in a weak flush
- All Gerber 2-piece toilets have sanitary beads custom-built to that application's requirements for leak prevention and maximum flush power and consistency
