Gerber TREYSTA™ Valve System - How to identify old ceramic cartridge vs. new Treysta ceramic cartridge?

Treysta ceramic cartridge is a smart one-cartridge-fits-all design cartridge that accommodates to all different available valve bodies within the Gerber Treysta valve system.

1. Both cartridges are in black however the old ceramic disc cartridge uses a black cap but the new Treysta ceramic disc cartridge features a gray cap for quick and easy visual identification, even when installed in the valve body.

4. The old ceramic disc cartridge is a 2 pieces cartridge vs. the new Treysta ceramic disc cartridge is a single-piece cartridge.

DO NOT install the new Treysta cartridge with an old rough-in valve body. The new Treysta cartridge IS NOT compatible with the old rough-in valve and an old cartridge IS NOT compatible with the new Treysta valve bodies.
