Treysta valves with a SKU number ending with an "S" are ones with 2 quarter turn service stops. Stops secured with durable, threaded brass nut easily tightened with standard socket. The stop is the same for both hot and cold inlets, and for all valve bodies.
To remove and replace the service stop, follow the below steps:
INSTRUCTIONS
- Ensure the water is turned off to the system before servicing or removing the stops.
- Remove the plaster guard from the valve body.
- Unscrew the threaded brass nut using a standard 7/8" deep socket.
- Using a pliers (apply the grip on flat sides) to pull out the stop
- Replace the stop back to the valve body. A small guide on the stop will help align the stop into the valve groove when replacing the stop back into the valve body.
- Place threaded brass nut back onto valve body, screw brass nut and tighten with a standard 7/8" deep socket.
Quarter turn stops open and close easily using either a flat head screwdriver in the slot or pliers on the flat sides. The open and closed position is clearly indicated by slot direction:
|
CLOSED - Perpendicular to the valve inlet |
|
OPEN - In-line with the valve inlet |
Frequently Aske questions
Why polymer stops?
Our new patented quarter-turn stops are made from an engineered polymer meant to withstand the strength of a plumber, and also resist mineral buildup based on a variety of water conditions. Polymer stops are not susceptible to mineral build up or corrosion like brass or other alloy stops. This means a more reliable full sealing structure, molded right into the stops, and a clear open and closed position.
