How do I install my cover plate?

This article will explain how to install a faucet cover plate.
 
* Please note illustration may not look exactly like your faucet. However, the installation steps are common to all similar types of cover plates.

To install a cover plate, you will need to:
  1. Assemble the putty plate and cover plate
  2. Apply silicone
  3. Install the putty plate and cover plate
 


Step 1 – Assemble the putty plate and cover plate
  • Assemble the putty plate and the cover plate together by installing the cover plate over the putty plate.
Step 2 – Apply silicone
  • With the two pieces assembled together, apply silicone to the bottom of the putty plate, making sure to outline the outer edge of the plate, as well as all faucet holes.
Step 3 – Install the cover plate and putty plate onto the counter
  • Place the cover plate assembly in the desired position, onto the counter, and press down until the plates are sitting firmly on the counter
  • Wipe away any excess silicone. Please note that if you wet your finger with dish soap, the silicone will not stick to your finger and will allow for an easier installation.
